Life

Life is a journey

Life is a journey and not a destination.  Every day is the first day of the rest of our lives.  Every day is a new beginning.  There is no end.  The end of every day, marks a new beginning.  Yes physical life may come to an end, but eternal life lasts forever.  Live every day as though it were your last.  Live every day in love and peace towards all of creation.

Remember one thing, as you sow, so you shall also reap.  Sow good seed in abundance and you shall reap good rewards in abundance.  Sow bad seed sparingly and you shall reap small quantities of bad rewards.  Do good to others, be selfless like Jesus and become like Him.  Your life will become a pleasant journey and you will never experience lack.

Jesus came to earth not to die for our sins, but rather to show us how to live a Godly life.  He was so determined and loved mankind so much that He willingly gave up His life and three days later took it back again.  Through His resurrection He showed all of mankind that even death can be overcome if we live according to the will of God.  If we believe in Jesus Christ of Nazareth and if we follow Him as our role model, we too can receive eternal life.  Eternal life starts here on earch and it continues after we give up our mortal bodies.  We are immortal though, until God decides to take us home to live in heavenly places.

We are only given one physical body, so let’s look after it and cherish it.  After all, it is the temple of the Holy Spirit that lives within us.  God’s spirit joins our spirits and lives within our bodies.  Let’s not neglect our bodies and let’s stay in good shape.  Remember as we sow, so we shall reap.  If we don’t look after our bodies, we might become ill.  If we smoke and drink and eat junk food, we might become ill.  If we don’t exercise our bodies, we might become ill.  If we stress too much, we might become ill.  Stop stressing about things you cannot change.

Pray to God to let His will be done and live every day to its fullest.  Let bygones be bygones.  Live for the present with a confident hope for the future.  Don’t worry about tomorrow.  Tomorrow will have enough worries of its own.  Look at the birds, they don’t worry about tomorrow.  God looks after them and gives them what they need.  They don’t worry about what they will eat tomorrow or what they will wear tomorrow and yet God clothes them in beautiful colours and gives them everything they need.  Give all your worries to God in prayer and trust Him to take control of your life.  Don’t worry, be happy.  Worry makes you old before your time (Matthew 6:25-34, Luke 12:22-34)

Don’t be afraid of giving, be it love, service to others, or material gifts, without getting something in return.  God sees everyhing and He will make sure you receive your rewards in this life or the next.  Make sure your motives are pure though.  Don’t give with your main objective being to receive something in return.  Give because of love for your fellow man.  Give freely and unconditionally.

Life is a journey, not a destination.  Enjoy every day that comes your way.  Live life to its fullest and live every day as though it were your last.  Enjoy life, don’t live in the past or in the future, live in the present, with confident hope for a prosperous future.  Live selflessly like Jesus of Nazareth, in service of your fellow man.  Enjoy the journey and God bless.
